India is diverse country where people of different countries live and interact with each other in many ways that is exchanging views and ideas. There are total 29 states and 8 territories.

India, the world’s seventh-largest country by land, is situated in South Asia on the Indian subcontinent. India is the cradle of four global religions: Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Jainism, as well as the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation.

After a nonviolent campaign for independence led by important personalities such as Mahatma Gandhi, it has became an independent nation in 1947 and endured a brutal split. With nearly 1.4 billion inhabitants, India is the world’s second most populous country and the world’s largest populous democracy.

Castes are strict social groups in which life style, employment, and social position are passed down through the generations. The caste system dates back to ancient times and has been altered by numerous governing elites throughout mediaeval, early modern, and contemporary India, particularly the Mughal Empire and the British Raj.
