Ingredients: To make approximately 30 chicken momos, you will need the following  ingredients: 

For the dough:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
For the filling:
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
 1: Prepare the dough
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and salt
  2. Gradually add water while kneading until a smooth and elastic dough forms.
  3. After preparing the dough, cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
 2: Make the filling 
  1. Combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped cilantro, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
 3: Shape the momos
  1. Roll out a small portion of the dough into a thin, round shape (about 3 inches in diameter).
  2. Place a spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of the dough circle.
  3. Fold the dough in half, forming a semi-circle, and press the edges firmly to seal. You can also crimp the edges for an attractive pattern.
 4: Steam the momos
  1. Line a steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
  2. Arrange the momos in the steamer, ensuring they don’t touch each other.
  3. Steam the momos on a medium flame for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
 5: Serve and enjoy!
