Ethnic attire in India changes by the state as well as indicated by the various religions, clans, and networks inside the state. Here’s an overview of the different dress design and styles found in some Indian states.

1. ASSAM: – Mekhela, worn by women Dhoti is worn by Men.

2. Kolkata:-The men of Kolkata wear Panjabi with Pajama or Dhoti. The women of Bengal wear Sarees of various materials like silk, cotton, chiffon, etc.

3.Uttar Pradesh:- Salwar Kameez and Sarees worn by the women with various ornaments
Men wear dhoti or lungi and headdresses with cap or pagdi.4.Punjab: – Patiala Salwars along with contrast dupatta is worn by women with Punjabi jutti.Men of this state wear kurta pajama along with pagri on the head and Punjabi jutti on the feet.

5.Maharashtra:-Sarees, paired with Choli are the ethnic clothing of women. The men of the state wear Dhoti, paired with Pheta. Their Pagadi is made of cotton, silk, or wool.
