The iOS 18 update has started rolling out in various regions, and Indian iPhone users can access it starting tonight at 10:30PM IST.
iOS 18, officially revealed during Apple’s WWDC in June 2024, made its debut alongside the iPhone 16 launch. The latest update includes a number of exciting new features, including AI enhancements, customization options, and a refreshed design. iOS 18: Features, India Release Time, and Compatible Devices
The iOS 18 update will be released in India on September 16 at 10:30 PM IST. Eligible devices include the iPhone 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, and 11 series as well as the iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, and SE (2nd generation and later).
New features include customisable home screens, an overhauled Control Centre, eye-tracking capabilities, music haptics, motion cues and improvements to apps like Safari, Maps, Photos and the Apple Health ecosystem. Among other updates, users will also see improved iMessage functionality.
For the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and the entire iPhone 16 lineup, additional AI-powered features will be introduced with Apple Intelligence. Apps like Mail, Messages, Photos, and Siri will integrate these AI features, which will be fully available with the iOS 18.1 update expected next month.
